We need a smart, self-motivated, app-loving writer looking to make their break in the world of tech writing for fast expanding app network, AppFlood. With over 400 million global devices now using an app connected to the AppFlood network you’ll be tasked with helping the team to achieve its ambitious growth objectives to become one of the top mobile RTB networks on the planet. A passion for mobile apps and mobile gaming is a must as is an ability to generate engaging written content. Direct experience in the mobile app industry isn’t necessary (although that would be a great bonus). We do however expect some experience in PR, Journalism, Mobile, Social, Digital, or Media. This can include freelance work and internships.
Your goal will be to support the Content Marketing Manager, PR agencies and the existing marketing team with the creation of a diverse range digital content including blog posts, infographics, op-ed pieces and web page copy. You may also get the opportunity to dip your toes in public relations and social media management. You'll be liaising with key managers in our Beijing office including art directors, engineers, and product managers as well as marketing and sales teams from our London and San Francisco offices. You’ll be tasked with generating content that will be shared through our social channels, distributed to key media and be found via search engines. You’ll need exceptional organization skills, attention to detail and be able to cope under a sometimes intense environment while delivering high impact work that delivers measurable results for key audiences.
This position is a Part-time entry-level position.
Your responsibilities:
•        Quickly understand existing and upcoming products.
•        Keep on top of the latest developments in the mobile and app industry.
•        Write mobile/app industry content.
•        Help research, shape, and contribute in the creation of sharable content including infographics, how to guides, white papers, reports etc.
•        Contribute to AppFlood blog with aim of driving traffic from social channels and search engines.
About you:
•        Passionate about apps, tech and mobile.
•        Fluent command of English and able to write strong, clear content. Native level only. Chinese Mandarin would be a plus but not essential.
•        Strong writing and proofreading skills.
•        Self-motivated and extremely well organized.
•        Some experience using a content management system (Wordpress).
•        Great eye for design. Detail orientated. Experience with design software such as Adobe Photoshop a plus but not essential.
•        You’re in Beijing (or willing to move here) and will be here in the foreseeable future.
